Come to the first quarterly meeting of KAMP at Eastern Kentucky University see the exciting research being conducted by students in the Department of Geosciences and stay for a tour of the Department’s facilities in the Science Building. The student research will include topics such as wetland processes, groundwater flow modeling, nutrient contamination, mesopredator monitoring, and wetland identification using LiDAR among other topics. The Science Building opened in Fall of 2017 and includes state of the art classrooms and technology such as two 24 seat geotechniques computer labs, a geochemical analysis lab, a ground penetrating radar, drones, survey grade GPS units and a terrestrial LiDAR unit.
