Description:
The Louisville/Jefferson County Information Consortium (LOJIC) GIS is seeking a LOJIC Customer Support Specialist to provide standard and custom hardcopy maps and digital data products to the public sector, private sector and LOJIC partner consultants; draft GIS products/services policy and associated fees; develop programs for and/or administer new standard products and direct consultants in the creation process; create programs for and/or administers highly specialized custom mapping requests; advise LOJIC participants on the technical and pricing aspects of generating, maintaining and establishing new products and fees; oversee the development and maintenance of the LOJIC home page (non GIS components); coordinate the development of the GIS components of the home page with LOJIC staff, participants and consultants; oversee/write programs for the timely dissemination of LOJIC data.
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in geography, cartography or a related field; three or more years related experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted; knowledge of GIS software, cartographic concepts, digital and manual printing, skill in oral and written communication; ability to operate a PC, printers/plotters and associated Windows environment software (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.); ability to resolve problems; ability to adapt to a changing work environment and work in a team environment.
Salary Range (Based on applicant qualifications):
Minimum: $44,657.60; Midpoint: $55,827.20; Maximum $66,996.80
