Kim Ezell is the GIS Coordinator for Hopkins County. As the first GIS Coordinator in Hopkins County, she has guided and moved Hopkins County forward in its use and understanding of GIS technologies for the past 19 years. In this role she has worked with various county departments, agencies and citizens to provide workflow solutions utilizing GIS applications, such as ArcGIS Desktop, Pro, Enterprise and Online. Prior to this Kim worked for the Hopkins County Joint Planning Commission and for a surveying and engineering firm.

Kim holds a Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Western Kentucky University and currently serves on the Geographic Information Advisory Council as a member representing Kentucky Association of Counties. She has served as a GeoMentor to the Hopkins County School System since the 2015-2016 school year. Kim is also serving as the Chairman of the 2020 Census-Hopkins County Complete Count Committee, partnering with the U.S. Census Bureau to assist in obtaining an accurate population count utilizing address point data collection.
As a KAMP member since 2006, she has volunteered at KAMP conferences and has co-presented at KAMP workshops and would be honored to serve as a Director on the KAMP Board. As a member of the KAMP board of directors, Kim would like to see the organization work closely with emergency responders. GIS has always played a role for first responders, but with the implementation of NG9-1-1, the importance of GIS to the first responder community will grow exponentially. Expanding the membership to include more first responders would be valuable to this group since KAMP is a supportive group of professionals.
