Jessica Lott is currently the GIS Specialist for the City of Paducah. She graduated Murray State with a degree in Computer Science. Before she started with the City of Paducah, she worked as a Software Developer where part of her job was implementing GIS Solutions into utility software. She immediately fell in love with it and decided to pursue GIS as a full-time career. While she only has 4 years of actual GIS experience, she is somewhat different because she brings a programming background into the GIS world. She is able to automate GIS tasks and properly maintain complex databases. She also knows the importance of keeping up with the ever changing advancements in GIS and includes research as one of her daily assignments. Jessica has been a KAMP member for the past 3 years and currently serves as KAMP Secretary. She is not afraid to bring new ideas to the board and enjoys coming up with solutions. Since she is one of the newer GIS professionals, she is able to give a different mindset and perspective that can help push the Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals forward.
