Job Description:

Local consulting firm is looking for a motivated individual who will be able to handle the following responsibilities:

Develop, document, and support ESRI applications such as ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE (SQL Server), ArcGIS Online, Java or HTML websites.
Develop and support custom .Net applications, and performing SQL Server DBA duties.
Envision, design, and develop custom .Net, VB, or Python utilities to support these applications
Perform SQL Server DBA duties across all applications for performance, availability and security concerns
Meet frequently with clients to understand their long-term needs and provide technical options and solutions
Provide first level support for several city applications and work with vendors for second tier support
Use source code control effectively

Requirements

3 years GIS administration experience
3 years administering SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2012 including backups, tuning, and security
3 years of ASP.Net/.NET & IIS experience
Experience with ArcGIS editing and cartographic standards a plus
Experience supporting VB application, VBA, and Python
Strong written and verbal communication skills needed and an ability to work with clients
Excellent problem-solving, design, development, and debugging skills
Municipal experience a plus

Education Qualification:

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Geography or Management Information Systems or a related field.

Candidate must have experience with GIS analysis utilizing the ESRI suite of software products, including experience programming ArcGIS Server 10.x and proficiency using ArcGIS desktop software and extensions for analysis and problem solving.
