Mapping Interactive Developer
Map Your Show is a Cincinnati based software company that partners with tradeshows and events around the world, providing elegant online directories, floorplans, booth space management, mobile apps, and more.
Map Your Show is hiring a Mapping/Interactive Application Developer for a full-time position located in Cincinnati, OH. We are looking for someone who can have immediate impact developing new software products, and is also excited to learn new languages and technologies as necessary.
Strong history of application development in JavaScript and related libraries/frameworks is required. Experience as a GIS developer and/or with any geospatial mapping libraries is strongly preferred as we will be developing floorplan mapping applications. Experiences with ActionScript and/or mobile development are a plus, but not required. While this is mainly front end development, familiarity with SQL, ColdFusion, and AutoCAD are good bonus skills to have.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in software application development using JavaScript and related libraries/frameworks (e.g. jQuery, React, Angular)
- Experience with geospatial libraries strongly preferred (Esri, CartoDB, OpenLayers, MapBox, Leaflet, etc.).
- Experience in mobile development a plus.
- Experience with ActionScript 3 a plus.
- Experience with SQL, ColdFusion, and AutoCAD are helpful

Georgetown-Scott County, located in the northern Lexington MSA, is offering an excellent opportunity in one of the state’s fastest growing communities. This entry level position updates and maintains the GIS database for three municipalities and County government, and performs cartographic production utilizing ESRI ArcGIS and open source products. Data consists of a wide range of emergency, clerical, political, environmental/physical, development, and other datasets pertaining to government services in Scott County. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, planning, or related field, and one (1) year of experience preferred.
