This year the 2016 Kentucky GIS Conference is attempting to go smarter and greener. For the first time the Conference will utilize a mobile app for our agenda. The app we will be using this year is called Guidebook.

Guidebook is a free app to download, however, since this is a trial run we are limited to the number of times our guide can be accessed. We have a limit of 200 downloads. Since we have over 230 registrants there may be some attendees that miss out on using it this year. If this is successful KAMP leadership will consider using this or another app like this next year. Feedback is imperative.

A few of things to keep in mind:

  • This will be on a first come first serve basis. The Guidebook app is free but downloading the KAMP Conference Guide is limited.
  • Please only download the Conference guide on one device. If you download the guide to your phone and iPad that will use 2 installs.
  • A PDF version of the agenda is here (http://kampro.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/2016_GISconference_Grid.pdf) that you can pull up on your mobile devices or to print before you attend. We will also have a limited number of printed agendas available at the registration desk.
  • The guidebook is also available on the web (https://guidebook.com/guide/76757/ –     passphrase: kampers)
    • It does not look like there is a limited number of people that can use the web version. You do have to have an internet connection for this one but this is helpful for those that don’t get to download the app (after the first 200 downloads).

 

How to download Guidebook.

To download the Guidebook app, please follow ANY of the steps below:

  • Scan this QR Code: guidebookqr
  • Navigate to http://guidebook.com/getitin a web browser.
  • Open up the Apple, Google, Amazon, or Blackberry app store on your device. Then search for “Guidebook”.
