Since its inception in 2003, KAMP has annually recognized exceptional individuals in the Kentucky Mapping community for their outstanding efforts and contributions. Acknowledgement is awarded for one of three categories:
Exemplary System Award
This award is to recognize outstanding GIS or mapping programs in the state of Kentucky. One award will be presented each year. A program can only be awarded the ESA every five years. The awards committee will make recommendations to the KAMP Board for selection.
Service to the GIS / Mapping Community
This award is to recognize one person who has made significant contributions to the GIS / Mapping community. One award will be given each year. The awards committee will make recommendations to the KAMP Board for selection.
Service to KAMP
This award is to recognize the one person who has done the most for the betterment of the Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals. One award will be given each year. The awards committee will make recommendations to the KAMP Board for selection.
KAMP President’s Award
This award is not presented yearly but at the discretion of the current President. This award recognizes extraordinary service to the KAMP Executive Board and members.
