Using Python and Jupyter Notebooks in ArcGIS Pro

Instructor: Vince DiNoto, Director of the GeoTech Center

The participants will need to have ArcGIS Pro installed and have experience with the software.  This workshop will show how to work with Notebooks inside of Pro and how immediate results are generated. Some basic knowledge of Python will be useful.  All examples will be available in a Story Map.

Introduction to Mapbox Studio and Web Mapping

Instructor: Megan Danielson, Community Program Manager, Mapbox

Mapbox is a live location data platform powering maps and navigation experiences for mobile, web, gaming, and automotive. The Mapbox Education program works with instructors and students across disciplines to connect the classroom to the latest that the Mapbox platform has to offer: Design beautiful maps in Mapbox Studio, develop interactive web maps with Mapbox GL JS, and use Mapbox APIs and kits to build location-based games and mobile apps. During this hands-on session, you will learn how to work with Mapbox Studio to upload custom data, add it to a template style, use filters to style your data, and publish and share your map designs! The session will end with a brief overview of how to publish your custom basemap and data to a basic web map.

Using Microsoft Power Automate as part of a GIS workflow

Instructor: Christy Powell, LINK-GIS/PDS

The Microsoft Power Automate platform can be used in conjunction with the ArcGIS platform to automate a variety of tasks. In this workshop, we will cover using webhooks to connect from Survey123 to send notifications based on location, obtain a token to update data in a feature service, and use scheduled tasks to monitor rest endpoints to send notifications when data is updated.
