We are currently assessing interest in a possible GIS Applications Developer Showcase/Contest to be held at the Kentucky GIS Conference, October 13-15, 2010 in Frankfort. Developer interest and participation will be a key factor as to whether this event will be possible. We are considering two categories for applications submittals: web-based and desktop applications. Participants may enter an application in one or both categories. Participants should be prepared to demo their apps and explain and show custom code. Participants will be expected to bring their own demo environments (i.e. laptops), but wireless internet access will be provided. All non-commercial applications are welcome to participate regardless of complexity or development environment.
