It is my pleasure to announce that Former Governor and Senator Julian Carroll will be addressing the 2009 Kentucky Geospatial Summit as the Keynote Speaker on Thursday, September 10, 2009.

Gov. Carroll is a great ally of the Geospatial Community in Kentucky and has been a pubic servant in Kentucky for almost a half-century, beginning in 1961 as Kentucky Representative from Paducah. He was Governor the Commonwealth from 1975 to 1980. Governor Carroll currently serves as Kentucky State Senator, representing the 7th District.  His resume is long and distinguished, holding the offices of Governor, Lt. Governor, Speaker of the House, and Senator.

Gov. Carroll currently serves on a variety of Senate Committees, including State and Local Government, Economic Development, and Licensing.
