What: NSF ITEST Summer Workshop Career Fair

The NSF ITEST Program is directed out of the Tracy Farmer Center for the Environment at UK. The purpose of the Summer Workshop is to bring together students and teachers who are working on community-based science projects and give them help in using the GIS and mapping technology that makes their projects possible. This Workshop also gives them the opportunity to learn more about how technology is used outside of the classroom. Our Career Fair is a 3-hour event where the students and teachers, along with guidance counselors from the program’s schools, have the opportunity to talk with people using these technologies in “real world” environments. They can ask questions and get answers from the people how have actually been there and done that!
